History
Foresters is a 21st century application of an idea that can be traced back to less affluent times when working people were organising themselves into associations and guilds, for mutual protection and support. Our continued commitment to understanding the needs of our members by offering products and benefits which assist in financial security and peace of mind, also helps us to help others in times of need or disaster and raise funds for worthwhile causes. We offer products and membership benefits which will assist our members with their financial security and peace of mind.
For 135 years, throughout the UK, USA and Canada, Foresters has been guided by a powerful principle: that the growth and prosperity of our members and their families is linked to the communities in which they live. Last year our worldwide charity work involved nearly 1 million hours of community involvement, with Foresters members and employees assisting more than 400 charities. In the UK alone we raised £1.7m for worthwhile causes. We measure our success not only by financial strength, but also by the positive impact we have on our members’ communities.
